Getting started
- Register, with your radio switched on beside you: the form adds the radio too. Already registered? Add your radio.
- Open the link we mail you and choose a password.
- On your page, press Operate beside the radio.
Install it on your phone
Open your radio's Operate page, then:
- Android, Chrome: the menu ⋮, then Install app.
- iPhone, Safari: Share, then Add to Home Screen.
- A computer, Chrome or Edge: the install icon at the right of the address bar.
It opens full screen and on its side, and keeps up to date by itself. Tick Remember me when you sign in on the phone, so that the app stays signed in.
My radio is off line
On the radio, open SET, then CONNECTIONS:
- REMOTE and STREAMING should be ON.
- REMOTE_STATUS should say ONLINE. If it says ADD RADIO_KEY AT MY.SBITX.NET, the radio has not been added here yet, or it was given a new key: add it, or type RADIO_KEY's letters on its Manage page. If it says SET MYCALLSIGN FIRST, set MYCALLSIGN to your callsign.
- The radio needs the internet; its Wi-Fi must be on.
What is the radio key?
Twelve letters your radio makes for itself, shown as RADIO_KEY among its CONNECTIONS. You type them here once, when you add the radio, and the radio uses them to sign in from then on. You never need them again, unless you make the radio a new one, by tapping RADIO_KEY and choosing NEW KEY, to stop a copy of the radio signing in.
The zbitx window on another computer
The window can work your radio through my.sbitx.net as well as the browser can: start it as zbitx_gui remote callsign-name, such as zbitx_gui remote vu2ese-home. The first time, it asks for the password you sign in here with. Changing that password signs it out.
